Save food, save money, save lives. It’s a win-win-win. So
why is it that 1/3 of the world’s food is lost or wasted each year?
I've definitely contributed to this problem: on countless occasions I’ve
found myself squatting in front of the refrigerator shifting around left over
containers, throwing the oldest remains away to make room for new take out
boxes. Of course feel a pang of guilt every time I'm in that position
– or prying frostbitten meat out of the freezer – but that’s not doing anyone
any good. It’s time to become a more contentious about how much food I need.
Here’s where I’ll tell the world about food waste and
wastefulness. Check in for analysis of articles and videos on the matter, as
well as my evaluation of different food-saving techniques and redistribution
methods. I’ll look at political, economic, and social factors implicit in the
production, consequences and remediation of food waste.
